I have this habit on special days such as birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter ect...to always think back to the last year on that same day. It is my way to reminisce and hopefully it will help me retain all of my found memories. Today being Jason's birthday I started reminiscing.
Last year on this day, I was about 2 months pregnant and really sick. I remember going grocery shopping to make Jason a special dinner and I had to pull over in a McDonald's parking lot to throw up. Ahhh good times!
Anyways, the year before that though is where it all started. Two years ago on Jason's birthday, me and him were working together at Tomato's, an Italian restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho. This restaurant and part-time job for both of us, is where we met. At the time, I didn't really know anything about him except that he was the very good looking new server. On his birthday, we were working together and he was serving a table with a lady who also had a birthday, this is when Jason had nonchalantly mentioned to me that is was also his birthday too.
To back track, I had only met Jason about a week prior to this. The fist night I worked with Jason, I was instantly attracted to him. I remember going home and telling my friend that there was a new boy at work who was LDS and I really really wanted him to ask me out. Since that day, I would look at the work schedule and circle the days that I worked with Jason, making sure that I was extra cute on those days! So about a week after his birthday, I mustered up the nerve to ask him out! Haha well he actually did it, but I really had to hint to him that I was interested. After our first date, I was pretty much in love with him already. From October til December we dated, but just casually. After December we were engaged and married in March.
It may sound cliche, but Jason fit every qualification on "my husband list." Here was my list that I made my first year at BYU-Idaho, before I met Jason. For those of you that know him, will know that it describes him perfectly. (In no particular order)

Happy Birthday Big J! I think the next family B-day is Paxton and he will be 32 so we will have to think of something to make him feel really old. let me know if you have any ideas.
I read this a while ago but forgot to put a comment. Joe and I were reading it together and Joe thought it was really cheesy, but I thought it was sweet Lorisa. Happy Birthday Jason!
