Home Sweet Home

It took a lot of work to get moved in, but we did it! Once we got our pictures on the walls of our new apartment, it finally felt like home. Although our apartment feels like home, this area in general is so different than what this small town Idaho girl is used to. I think the whole time I have been here Jason and I have defiantly been the minority. I don't mind it, I'm just not used to it. Haha yesterday I was walking from our parking lot to our apartment when a guy driving a low rider pulled up beside me and asked if I had a spare cigarette to give him. Let's just say he noticed I was very pregnant and then said "O sorry, you probably don't smoke it's bad for the baby!"
When we first arrived here, I was terrified of driving. We took like four different major freeways just to get here. However yesterday, I conquered my fears of drivng in a city bigger than Salt Lake. It was only with the help of our our new best friend, the GPS, but I did it...I survived!!

Just keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming

Thursday was the big day of our move and our journey to California. Our plans were to drive to Las Vegas, stay with Jason's sister there, and then on Friday drive to California. We rented a Penske moving truck, and towed our car behind the truck. On our way to Vegas we ran into a little speed bump......About 120 out of Provo, the transmission on our moving truck went out. The ironic part about the whole thing is that it was a brand new truck. With humor and laughs Jason and I waited for Penske to come rescue us. As I we sitting there in our broken down moving truck, waiting to be resqued, I relized just how wonderful Jason really is. He was so calm and wonderful the whole time. (As Dory says, We must just "Keep on swimming, swimming, swimming...!") We took our car off the dolly and headed off to Vegas while a tow truck towing our moving truck followed slowly behind us. When we got to Vegas Jason had to reload all of our stuff into a different moving truck.
So all and all we made it to California! Our new apartment is really nice. We worked really hard, and now we are officially moved in! (I really hate packing and unpacking).
Jason started work today, we will keep you posted on how it goes. I went to my new Doctor today and everything looks good. I go in next week for an ultrasound to see how the baby is position.....Only four more weeks!!!!!

Finally Finals are Finished!!!

These past two weeks have been completely hectic, but we have accomplished a lot! After a strenuous week of studying, writing papers, studying some more and test taking, Jason finished the semester with a bang! He did so well on his finals. He was pleased, and for all those who know about his trials with MATH 113, he got a B!!! As for me, I packed up the house and did a very good job of remembering where I put everything!

Mission Accomplished!

Hip-Hip Hooray! I am proud to announce that I am finally done with my internship hours! Yeah no more working for free!! After looking back at my experience, I realize that I learned a lot, and no matter how much I complained about it, I am very glad that I had the experience. I learned a lot about dentisty, and about myself. Today while I was finishing my final hours working, I got the opportunity to observe and help assist on extracting completely compacted wisdom teeth. It was so exciting for me to watch the Doctor cut the gums and remove huge teeth that were hiding under gums and the jaw bone. I know, I am a bit weird to enjoy the dental field so much, but I am so glad that I followed my passions, went to Provo College, and now I am a graduated dental assistant! Due to Brogan's due date, I won't be able to attend my graduation, but having a baby is the perfect way to celebrate my accomplishments!

Now my task is to pack up the house and get everything ready to move to California. Wish me luck.....(its a lot harder doing tasks such as bending over when you have a big belly in the way...especially one that kicks you!)

Perfection

I just wanted to let everyone know that I got a 100% on my last "Mechanics of Materials" test. That has been quite the involved class but it hasn't gotten the best of me. The average for that test was a 71% so I am pretty much amazing. Don't praise.
